great to have Lizzie around more in the forthcoming season.

Huge congratulations to friends of Bonne Sante James and Ali from Peak
Services. James and Ali tied the knot mid
September, followed by a honeymoon in Italy. However instead of relaxing on
a beach they cycled around 50km a day to explore the beautiful country. I expect
they'll be in need of a massage to help recover!

Support friends of Bonne Sante in their 24 hour ski challenge on 20th - 21st April.
Paul Garner, Giles Lewis and Ben Langridge from TDC along with 3 other friends are taking on a 24 hour ski challenge in memory of their friend Ponti Chatteron and to raise money for Acorns Hospice and Noah’s Ark. Acorns is a magnificent organisation and offers help to life-limited children and support for their families. Noah’s Ark helps families deal with the fall out once a parent or sibling has died.
During the challenge, the lifts will be open for 8 hours which leaves 16 hours where they will be climbing the mountain on foot! They will definitely deserve a massage afterwards.
Come along and support the boys in their gruelling challenge which will be held on top of the Bellevarde area between the Folie Douce and the top of the Olympic bubble. You can donate on the day or log on to virginmoneygiving.com/pontismountaintriathlon

Many of you will have heard about the tragic events that have recently occurred in Val d'Isere. Our thoughts are with the friends and families of those involved. If you ski / board off piste and you would like to learn more about how to minimize the risks get yourselves along to Henry's Avalanche Talk. Each week in Val d'Isere the HAT team give a 'Ride Hard, Ride Safe' presentation in Dicks Tea Bar. This takes place on a tuesday at 17:00.
What will you get out of the talk?
- Learn how to be a responsible and supportive member of any group going off piste
- Insight into how the professionals approach decisions about going off piste.
- Find out how much you do know and what you don’t know
- Some fun and great video of avalanches and sensational off piste ski sequences
- Most importantly learn how to answer the question............Is it safe out there?
Unfortunately there is no straight yes or no answer. In our avalanche talks you will learn that whether it is safe depends on:
- Where you go and when.
- How you go down or up.
- How well prepared you are
The HAT team also offer beeper training sessions. If you carry an avalanche transceiver it is essential that you know how to use it and practice regularly. The beeper training sessions take place on a wednesday at 14:00. See www.henrysavalanchetalk.com for further details and prices.
At Bonne Sante, we can't recommend Henry's services enough.

Congratulations to Chris Allison who completed the New York marathon last week in an impressive 3 hours and 32 minutes'. He has raised over £1500 pounds for Cystic fibrosis.
2nd June 09
Clinical manager Louise is proud that her brother Chris is running the New York marathon this November.
He is raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Cystic Fibrosis is the UK's most common life threatening inherited disease. One in 25 people carry the faulty gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis and every week 5 babies are born with the condition. Cystic Fibrosis causes the body to produce thick sticky secretions that particuarly affect the lungs and digestive tract. This causes severe breathing problems. Average life expectancy for someone with Cystic Fibrosis is just 35 years of age. For further information on Cystic Fibrosis go to www.cftrust.org.uk
Chris would be extremely grateful for any support. Please sponsor him at www.justgiving.com/chrisallison
