Ginny Dawson Bsc (Hons)Physiotherapy
MCSP SRP
Ginny's passion for all sports and her enjoyment working with people, prompted her to study Physiotherapy at Manchester School of Physiotherapy. She qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2004 and spent 4 years working initially for the NHS at the Whittington Hospital and then Charing Cross Hospital (both in London) where she developed her skills as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
After working for four years in London, Ginny had to heed the call of mountains to ski, especially ski touring. A job as a physiotherapist in Val d'Isere was a dream come true! Ginny has now worked for two seasons in Val d'Isere and loves the challenges that ski injuries present.
During the summer Ginny works with the British Army devoting much of her time treating young recruits and emphasizing the important role a physiotherapist plays in injury prevention. She has also worked for private practices in the UK and as a Chartered Physiotherapist at the London Marathon.
Ginny has an extremely comprehensive involvement with a huge variety of sports. As an experienced physiotherapist she knows how important correct advice is in order to prevent injuries; or when they do occur, to use the correct techniques to get the client back on the piste without wasting time.
Ginny's love and extensive involvement with ski touring and off piste skiing, means she wants people to enjoy the mountains without injury. The mountains both deserve and demand respect and she knows how important it is to undertake exercises for injury prevention or to recover as quickly as possible should an injury occur.
